Behind the Musician: About PSO Violinist Brad Gibson

Author: Teri Quick, PSO Supporter (and Brad Gibson’s Mother)

The symphony and the good friends [Brad] has there are an important part of his life. Music has always been an important part of his life–he started playing the violin when he was 3 and has played continually ever since. His youth orchestra in Omaha played at Carnegie Hall when he was 16, and he was first chair violin when he was at Rice University. Finding the Peninsula Symphony after he moved to San Francisco enabled him to continue to enjoy making music, and now his orchestra friends have become his family. Since I have always lived far away from him after he left home (or his life choices have made it so he lives far away from me!), it gives me great comfort to know he has found a home and family with the Peninsula Symphony.
