Informal reception immediately following.

Bugles announcing a hunt.  Sound sketches from Carnival in Vienna.  Butterflies, an ode to Spring, and scenes from a wedding.  Polish folk dances and images of night spirits.  The weight of life’s journey, cocktails at a nightclub, and the explosive expression of pathos.

“Audible Art” is how I describe these visual images expressed by Mozart, Schumann, Grieg, Chopin, and Scriabin in the pieces I’ve selected for my next recital.  None of these is technically “Impressionist” works, but I love the challenge of trying to pull colors, images, and stories from the 88 black and white keys of the piano.

Please come out to enjoy this diverse music, and to support the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra.  It’s also a chance to meet new and old friends.  I hope to see you there!
